Many Romanian, Bulgarian, Russian, Ukrainian, Belorussian, Moldovan, Serbian and Greek Orthodox Christians (among others) regularly attend services at the Monastery. Orthodox faithful of all backgrounds come here for weddings, baptisms, and other sacramental blessings. Elegant dining space and a covered portico are available for receptions. Spiritual retreats have been held here by Orthodox Christians of all jurisdictions.
SOUTHERN ACCESS TO OUR MONASTERY WILL BE CLOSED TO THROUGH TRAFFIC FOR THREE MONTHS
(August 3, 2016 - November 1, 2016)
Due to road work on Palomares Road south of Holy Cross Monastery, southern access to our monastery via Highway 84 (Niles Canyon Road) between Fremont and Sunol will be closed from August 3, 2016 until November 1, 2016.
Our Monastery will still be accessible from the north as usual, however, via I-580.
Attendance Has Been Increasing at Vespers Lately!
Especially prominent have been the local Cervine Orthodox. Our monastery welcomes pilgrims of all sorts, whether bipedal or quadrupedal.
Before Thy Cross we bow down in worship, O Master, and Thy holy Resurrection we glorify!
