TROPARION
In the Eighth Tone

The image of Thy Cross shone this day more brightly than the sun, when Thou didst stretch it out from the Mount of Olives to Golgotha; and in manifesting Thy might contained in that sign, O Saviour, Thou hast thereby also strengthened the faithful.

Always preserve us in peace, through the intercessions of the Theotokos, O Christ our God, and save us.

KONTAKION
In the Fourth Tone

Heaven, which had been shut, was opened up as the most honorable Cross dawned upon the earth, illuminating the heavens with its rays.

Having received the radiance of its splendor, we are guided in unwaning light;and in battles we cling to it as a weapon of peace and invincible triumph
