Services at Holy Cross Monastery
The clergy of our monastery are affiliated with the Orthodox Church in America (OCA) and serve under the omophorion of the Bishop of the OCA's Bulgarian Diocese of Toledo, Ohio.Our public services are usually conducted in the languages best understood by those coming to worship with the Fathers, who can conduct services in English, Romanian, Church Slavonic (also known as "Old Bulgarian"), Modern Bulgarian, Greek, Serbian, Russian, or Ukrainian.
Our chapel is regularly open to the public for:
Great Vespers-Saturday evenings at 6:00 P.M. (time subject to change, so it's always best to check our monastery calendar)
The Hours-Sunday mornings at 9:30 A.M.
Divine Liturgy-Sunday mornings at 10:00 A.M.
Our chapel is also open to the public for:
Certain Holy Days (please see our monastery calendar for dates and times)
Special Divine Liturgies celebrated in Church Slavonic (Old Bulgarian) at 11:30 AM on certain Sundays

Other non-public liturgical offices are reserved for the monks,
but may be attended by special arrangement.
"Worship the Lord in holy attire" — cf. Psalm 95(96):9; Psalm 29(28):2 (RSV)
That is, when you come to the House of God, be wholly attired.
Please refrain from wearing:
Shorts or short dresses
Sleeveless, backless or frontless clothing
Anything you would not wear on Judgment Day
Please respect the sacred solitude and quietude of the cloister
and please contact the Fathers before visiting at other times.
